Sunday, June 26th at Sterne Park
Bringing together more than 60 people from the Denver Area stroke community, we continued to celebrate the mission of Stroke Onward and Stroke Across America. The info fair featured allies American Stroke Association, Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado, Centura Health – Penrose & St. Francis, Encompass Health – Littleton, Rocky Mountain Stroke Center, SCL Health Lutheran, The Great Now What, and Young and Young at Heart stroke support group. The program started and ended by a performance from Sam Barraso, a blind musician. Deb, Steve, Michael, and Whitney then shared their experiences of life on the road. Liz Dienst, stroke survivor and stroke coordinator, shared her story of hope and recovery, and then we heard about the wonderful resources available to the Denver community from the Rocky Mountain Stroke Center and Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado.
