Impact Model & Strategy

Mission

To ensure stroke survivors and their supporters have the resources needed to rebuild identities and rewarding lives.

What We’re Working Toward

Our work is organized around three interconnected goals:

Build Awareness & Shift Public Discourse

Through campaigns, storytelling, live events, and partnerships, we’re reinforcing the idea that recovery goes beyond acute care and physical rehabilitation, and is about the whole person and living a life filled with purpose and meaning.

Elevate Underrepresented Voices

We amplify people most impacted by stroke, especially those historically excluded, to shape the future of stroke recovery.

Catalyze Systems Change

Transforming underlying structures such as policies, practices, and mindsets, that currently fail to effectively support the emotional journey in recovery.

How We Measure Impact

We track participation, engagement, and feedback across all our work. And we’re building partnerships to evaluate long-term impact on the survivors and loved ones we exist to serve, and the systems that serve them.

Our goal is to create change at three levels:

Direct

Creating and supporting inclusive communities that connect stroke survivors, their loved ones, and the professionals and innovators who care for them to explore the emotional journeys of life after stroke.

Distributed

Gathering, convening, collaborating, replicating and amplifying, so that our collective impact, as individuals and organizations, is expanded and our community is strengthened.

Structural

Integrating emotional healing and rediscovering identity into the definition of recovery and the health systems that support it.

Healing isn’t just about what we regain–it’s about reimagining who we can become.

That belief guides everything we do.
