COMMUNITY EVENT – ST. LOUIS

Wednesday, July 20th at Tower Grove Park

In St. Louis, we had our largest Community Event to date – over 160 people in attendance!  An enormous thank you goes to Kathy Howard and her ABC Brigade team for coordinating an event that brought together more than 20 different organizations for the community info fair – see below to learn more about the participating allies! Our emcee for the event, Kathy, did a wonderful job of curating powerful speakers for the event including Randy Miller, stroke survivor living with aphasia, Rachel Goldmeier, young stroke survivor, and Dr Annie Morrow from Paraquad. We also were honored with our first proclamation of the trip from The City of Saint Louis – thank you to Alderman Bret Narayan for coordinating this honor for us. And to top it all off, we enjoyed the music of Salt of the Earth and enjoyed delicious treats from Salt + Smoke, Sugar Witch, and Sweet Divine

St Louis is also a special place as it’s home to several of the survivors in Deb’s book Identity Theft and she was excited to be reunited with Kathy Howard, Randy Miller, and Cam Compton.
